It uses real historical photos to show the violence and disease soldiers went through. The game is meant to make you feel the impact of war showing things that can be hard to look at but important to understand.
There are some really graphic images in the game, and it doesn’t shy away from tough topics like PTSD (called “Combat Fatigue”) and sexual diseases. It also uses strong language throughout so it definitely not for kids. The goal is to give you a raw realistic picture of what war was like and it all meant for adult players.
Some parts of the game are especially intense with disturbing images, but you do have the option to skip those sections if it’s too much. Still the game encourages you to experience it all as it meant to show the brutal truth about WWII and the people who lived through it. It a heavy game designed to make you think about the human cost of war.
