If you are facing some annoying problems with steamunlocked please, read these:

  • Turn Off Anti-Virus and Windows Defender: Before downloading and extracting your game, remember to disable your anti-virus and Windows Defender. The reason is the crack files from SteamUnlocked can sometimes be mistakenly marked as threats, which could prevent the game from running. If you don’t want to re-download a large game file, simply restore the crack file from your anti-virus or Windows Defender’s quarantine. Turning off your anti-virus before downloading can help you avoid these issues altogether.
  • Install Necessary Programs: Make sure you’ve installed all required programs before starting your game. Look in the _CommonRedist or Redist folder and install everything found there, such as DirectX, vcredist, DotNet, etc. This usually resolves about 90% of common errors related to missing DLL files, preparing you to play smoothly.
  • Run the Game as Administrator: To solve problems like game-saving issues, try running the game as an administrator. Right-click on the game’s icon and select “Run as administrator.” This grants the game the necessary permissions to operate correctly on your system.

Dealing with Hotlink Protection Errors: If you encounter a hotlink protection error, it’s likely because the link has expired or the server is timed out. A good workaround is to try a different download link or use a torrent for downloading the game. We tend to avoid using uploadhaven links because they often have this issue.

For Download Manager Users:

If you’re using a download manager like IDM and find that certain links (like those from Mega) are challenging to handle, try capturing the direct download link that appears and input it directly into your download manager.
