The powers you choose directly affect how you fight and even how the music sounds the whole soundtrack changes based on what elements you mix and match. You’ll also visit Bing Bong’s Bodega between levels, where you can trade guitar picks for boosts and perks. Each drummer that falls leaves behind EXP, so the next one can pick up where they left off.

At the end of each level, you’ll face off against twisted members of the metal band — each one with their own insane attacks and musical theme. You’ll duel with the keyboardist, the strings section, and more in intense boss fights that feel like solo battles straight out of a music video. With over 16 original songs and 72 variations across four elemental “albums,” the music isn’t just background it’s part of the fight. Every riff and breakdown reacts to your choices, making every run feel fresh and chaotic in the best way.
