You can defend each area with a tower or a palisade or wall. Your army will have to move in groups of 8 units each. The battle is initiated if both enemies and allies meet in a single hexagon. Both common soldiers and heroes get experience in killing (gold to buy medals and increase their current characteristics). At the very beginning pre-match, you have to select 1 out of 12 races. Similarly, each faction has a mythological archetype and history, as well as a temporal paradigm (good, neutral, and evil).
