Meaning each run feels like advance indeed after you fall flat. It a blend of roguelike and Metroidvania with parts of distinctive ways and privileged insights to discover.
The game does have some blood and violence enemies explode into pieces and the walls sometimes get stained red but it all fits with the dark, cool vibe of the world. If you like games that are challenging but fair and you enjoy figuring things out as you go Dead Cells is a great choice.
