In Hammer of Pain, you are put into the tattered boots of a worn-out father left behind in a world that has forgotten its lore and slid to doom. Like the story of Barbarians in previous works, with this pixelated 2D platformer you will walk through where no ground is a stranger and lost souls have twisted into forgotten myths obscured somewhere within the darkest recesses of Middle Ages lore.
And your daughter has been swallowed by the darkness of this world, replaced only with echoes of her existence. You must traverse a sea of trials, finding what lies in store for her future and unearth the threads from long ago that lit the flame attacking kingdoms.
Every step you take will be a stamp on the crimson pages of history, every bound — an attempt to grasp for air in that pit. Your questing will have to be offset by complex puzzles, interesting quests, and conflicts with the inhabitants of this crazy world creatures.
