HROT Game Overview
HROT is a cool-looking retro-inspired shooter — The entire play is set in a socialist country that lies beside Czechoslovakia. But the central events take place in 1986 after a mysterious disaster changes life for miles around. The play starts in a civil defence shelter under the farther-deep metro stations.
The protagonist is on combat alert — He is aware of his ill-doing and takes responsibility for it. He put on his broken gas mask, took what was remaining of his shit ammo, and vented out to save the world and, well, for him, Russia from bandits. The story campaign — a set of 3 episodes – details events across various locations and offers new enemies, bosses, and power-ups. When you start the next episode, the player is granted manageable, medium, and challenging skill levels to opt for. Completion of this unlocks the Endless Arena and New Game.
The survival mode of HROT drops you into a rectangular arena where you fight against an inexhaustible supply of enemies. The challenge grows without loss of life, just a rank for the top score. Throughout the campaign, you must follow instructions and make it to checkpoints that lead to later levels. The character encounters monsters through the level and can find secret areas where first aid kits or ammo are hidden. Levers and buttons in the environment opened locked doors.
