Upon their arrival, the UIU is ambushed and trapped within Area-12 due to a facility-wide lockdown, leaving you alone with no backup. Its Foundation has begun experimenting with weaponized hybrids of anomalous creatures, or it’s up to the UIU to uncover the truth behind these experiments or prevent these monstrosities from being unleashed on innocent civilians.

As the story unfolds, players encounter a wide range of anomalies—reality-defying creatures and objects—that the SCP Foundation was originally tasked with containing. These include SCP-173-B (The Sculpture), SCP-610 (The Flesh that Hates), SCP-7528 (Screen Anomaly), SCP-1262 (Seed of Destruction), SCP-3199 (Humans Refuted), and others.
