This game lets you jump back into the world of Fuyuki City, where things seem peaceful on the surface, but a strange new version of the Holy Grail War is secretly starting again. You play through both fun and serious moments meet lots of familiar characters and unlock some weird and funny mini games along the way. It all told through a choice-based story where what you do really changes how things play out.

The story picks up with Shirou Emiya who thinks the war is over and is just trying to enjoy a normal life with his friends. But in a hidden part of the city a mage named Bazett Fraga McRemitz suddenly wakes up. She was part of the last war but doesn’t remember how it ended. Right away, she meets a mysterious Servant named Avenger someone who wasn’t even supposed to exist in that war. Avenger tells her they have to keep fighting, and from that moment on, time starts looping. Bazett and Shirou both end up reliving the same four days again and again, each time getting a little closer to the truth behind what’s really going on. The amusement blends light hearted standard of living with strongly emotional minutes and gradually pulls you into something much more profound.

As you go through the story you unlock several fun mini-games that break up the serious moments. These include things like “Jump! Tiger&Shorts Hanafuda Travel Journal EX,” “Better Fortune Tohsaka Shrine,” and more. They’re kind of goofy and over the top but that what makes them fun. Just a heads up though—Capsule Servant isn’t included in this version. Still the game offers a great mix of story comedy mystery and action. If you’re a fan of the Fate series or just want a good visual novel with a bunch of surprises, this remaster is definitely worth checking out.
