God of War is the beginning of a series surrounding bald-headed Kratos. Everything is built in ancient Greece’s mythological setting. For instance, enemies can be petrified by gazing directly into the dreaded face of Medusa Gorgon while a bolt from Zeus will scorch its targets to nothing but molten slag.
In God Of War, There are platforming elements, too: you need to get up and down on vertical planes as well as some ledge navigation. You will also get face puzzles, such as triggering mechanisms in the correct order and moving blocks around accordingly. Boss battles are a different matter entirely. They are huge and will kill you with a few hits—To fight such giants, you must identify weak points and only then strike with all your might.
